About Your Role
Olala! Group is hiring a Maintenance Engineer to join our Bucharest team and help provide the best experience for our guests.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal and safe functioning of the installations and equipment within the group’s properties.
Responsibilities:
- Preventive Maintenance Planning
- Implementing and optimizing preventive maintenance programs
- Monitoring technical equipment and systems
- Supervising and periodically testing critical equipment, such as elevators, fire detection and extinguishing systems, power generators, BMS systems
- Monitoring and performing maintenance work on electrical, plumbing, heating, and HVAC installations
- Corrective Maintenance
- Quickly resolving failures or malfunctions in systems or equipment to minimize guest discomfort
- Team Management
- Coordinating the internal technical team and external partners
- Compliance with Safety Regulations and Legislation
- Implementing safety procedures
- Preparing documentation required for inspections (Fire Department, ISCIR, etc.)
- Resource and Material Management
- Controlling the inventory of materials
- Maintaining accurate records of all activities performed
- Collaboration with Other Departments
- Working closely with reception, housekeeping, and restaurant departments to schedule maintenance without disrupting guest services
- Collaborating with suppliers, contractors, and partner companies
Education and Qualifications:
- University degree in mechanical, electrical, energy engineering, or a related field
- Facility Management (Building Manager) course is an advantage
- Certified training in plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, automation, energy management
- Valuable: ISCIR authorization (RSVTI), ANRE electrical authorization – type IIB / IIC, HVAC certifications
- Valuable: Fire Prevention & Firefighting (PSI / SU) course
Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Digital skills to use company applications and software
- Fluent Romanian and conversational level in English
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a similar position
- Experience in team coordination
Abilities:
- Ability to work under pressure and handle emergencies
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Ability to work independently and self-manage
- Analytical thinking and ability to solve complex problems
- Results-oriented and able to meet deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
